British Admiralty decided to built oil fuelled battleship according to the Dutch newspaper De Sumatra Post dated 26 August 1910

An item reported that the British government and admiralty decided to built an experimental battleship fitted out with petrol fuelled engines. As a result funnels were no longer needed and the design offered large benefits as lower weight and more space. The local newspaper Evening News claimed that as a result of this new design caused all existing dreadnoughts of the several naval powers would become obsolete.
