British mother ship for destroyers HMS Woolwich launched according to the Dutch magazine Marineblad 1934 no. 7

An item referred to the Proceedings dated November 1934 reporting the launching on 20 September at Govan, Scotland of the 8.750 ton British mother ship for destroyers Woolwich. To be armed with some 10,5cm/4.37” guns.(1)

1. Depot ship and destroyer tender, building ordered on 4 April 1933, laid down by Fairfield, Govan, Scotland on 24 May 1933, launched on 20 September 1934, completed on 28 June 1935 and sold to be broken up in 1962
