An item dated London, England 1st reported that the British admiral Beresford (1) on board of a destroyer visited Tangier, Morocco and had there a long meeting with the commanding officer of the cruiser Diana.(2,3)

Charles William de la Poer Beresford, 1st Baron Beresford (10 February 1846 Curraghmore, Ireland-6 September 1919 Langwell, Berriedale, Caithness, England), served within the British Royal Navy 1859-1911 ending his career as admiral and member of parliament. Beresford and Fisher violently disagreed about how to reform the British Royal Navy and introducing new technologies.
2. Of the Eclipse-class protected cruisers, laid down by Fairfield Shipbuilding&Engineering, Govan, Scotland on 13 August 1894, launched on 5 December 1895, completed on 15 June 1897 and sold to be broken up on 1 July 1920.
3. The Russo-Japanese war between 8 February 1904-5 September 1905. In the night of 21-22 October 1904 attacked the Russian Baltic Fleet the British trawler fleet of Kingston upon Hull in the so-called Dogger Bank almost causing a war between the British and Russian Empires.
