The realisation of the Italian naval shipbuilding program according to the Dutch magazine Marineblad dated 1937 No. 3

An item referred to the magazine Schiffbau dated 1 March 1937 reporting that for the Italian navy were under construction 2-35.000 ton battleships (1), 2-7.875 ton cruisers, 4-1.675 ton destroyers, 14-615/650 ton torpedo boats, 26 submarines, 4-855 ton escort vessels. 1-2.500 ton flotilla vessel, 4-800 ton gunboats and 20 motor torpedo boats.

Note
1. In fact was the Littorio-class consisting of the Littorio, Vittorio Veneto, Roma and Impero with as standard displacement of 41.000 and actually above the 45.000 much larger. On 28 April respectively 6 May 1940 were the Vittorio Veneto respectively Littorio commissioned.
