The fleet of the Albanian navy according to a CIA report dated 21 December 1948

An item reported that the Albanian navy numbered a gunboat armed with a medium calibre and 2 anti-aircraft guns, a crew numbering 100 men and which was stationed at Durres. In the Saseno-Punta Faro sector were 10 torpedo boats active stationed at the submarine base at Vlone. Furthermore there were motorboats armed with machineguns, several sailing vessels with auxiliary engines and armed with machineguns, 10 unarmed motorboats,1 former German tug, 1 large minelayer probably stationed at Vlone but instead of Albanians with a crew of Soviet and Yugoslavian sailors and finally 2 former German observation ships used by the school at Durres. In the near future was the 250 tons vessel Illyria to be added to the fleet.
