Polish tugs active on the Oder river according to a CIA report dated 22 November 1950

An item reported that for towing barges on the Oder river around 62 Polish tugs were available of which 30 were stationed at Kozle, 22 at Wroclaw and 10 at Szcecin. The tugs stationed at Kozel and active between that port and Wroclaw had a horsepower varying between 150-300hp and their crew numbering about 7 men.  The tugs stationed at Wroclaw were more powerful and both were former German tugs or bought in the Netherlands after the Second World War. The tugs stationed at Szczecin had horsepower varying between 100-250jp and their crews numbered about 5 men.
