An item dated Moscow 14 August 1953 reported that the Moscow Shipbuilding Yard occupied with building tugs to be used in the Soviet Union had now 7 diesel propelled tugs under construction to serve on the Siberian rivers. The bollard bull was to be large, the maneuverability high and the draught just swallow so the tugs could be used on swallow rivers and in large basins. The machinery consisted of 150hp engines. The crew accommodation was to be comfortable.
