The Czechoslovakian Oder Navigation Company (CSPO) according to a CIA report dated 22 November 1950

An item reported that the Czechoslovakian Oder Navigation Company (CSPO) operated around 100 barges with a cargo capacity of 350-900 tons which were towed by 21 tugs with a varying horsepower of 200-7500hp. Of the tugs were 10 stationed at Kozle, six at Wroclaw and the remaining 5 at Szczecin. The barges were marked with CSPO and a four digit number in black letters on a white background and for the tugs their own individual name. The funnels of the tugs were decorated with a red stripe and a blue star. In contrary to the past were there no longer German crewmembers in service although still on the Ele River fleet. The Polish and Czechoslovakian companies worked closely together with the vessels added to one common pool.
