United Kingdom-flagged, IMO 8949707, MMSI 232002833 and call sign GCOZL. Type 23 frigate. Building ordered in January 1992, laid down by Yarrow Shipbuilders on 14 October 1993, launched by Lady Christina Walmsley on 9 March 1996, commissioned on 4 July 1997 and refitted between May 2013-2015. Displacement 4.900 tons and as dimensions 133 x 16,1 x 7,3 metres or 436.4 x 52.10 x 23.9 feet. Speed 28-34,4 knots (trials November 2008). With a speed of 15 knots is the range 7.500 nautical miles. CODLAG machinery consists of 4x2.025shp/1.510kW Paxman Valenta 12CM Diesel generators, 2 GEC electric motors (4.000shp/2.980kW) and 2 Rolls-Royce Spey SM1C (31.100shp/23.190kW), Crew numbers 185-205 persons. Fitted out with a flight deck and enclosed hangar for a helicopter. Armament consists of 1-BAE 4.5”Mk 8 naval gun, 2-3cm DS30 Mk2 guns or 2-3cm DS30B guns, 2 miniguns and 3 general purpose gatling guns.
