Netherlands-flagged, homeport Maassluis, Netherlands. Laid down by Haarlemsche Scheepsbouw NV, Haarlem, Netherlands with yard number 398 as a Greenland trawler seized by Germany in 1942, after the Second World War with her sister ships Deneb and Algol completed as pilot vessel by Arnhemsche Stoomsleephelling, Arnhem, Netherland and completed by C. Smit, Kinderdijk, Netherlands, launched in 1947, commissioned on 14 October 1948 later used as a weather ships and finally handed over to the Zeekadetkorps Maasluis.
