Large number of French officers and petty officer leaving the service according to the magazine Mitteilungen aus dem Gebiete des Seewesens dated 1914 No. 3

An item reported that a remarkable large number of officers and petty officers left the French navy. Especially the newest tests were responsible for leaving the service by petty officers although being good experienced sailors lacking sufficient theoretical education.
