Dutch 4th charter Prins Friso 1730-1756

Of the admiralty Friesland, built by Thomas Davis at naval yard at Harlingen, Netherlands in 1730, condenmned/sold on auction in 1756, dimensions (Amsterdam foot) 144 x 42 x 17, an armament of 50 guns and a crew numbering 280 men. With permission from the admiralty of Amsterdam her British shipbuilder Thomas Davis advices spring 1728 by the building. Davis was stationed during Christmas, Eastern, Whitsun and in September (Amsterdam kermis) at the naval yard at Harlingen, 52 guns, she was built by Davis, four carpenters from the admiralty of Amsterdam (included William Bentham) and Frisian labourers, completed September 1730, prepared spars bought from the admiralty of Amsterdam, 1745-1746 commanded by captain Prigge while part of a auxiliary squadron for Great Britain.
