An item reported that of the budget of 32.500.000 US dollar for the building of 3 large battleships (1), 9 destroyers and 21 torpedo boats 29.500.000 were to be used of that purpose. The remaining 3 million to which another 2 million from the approved budget in the spring was added were to be used of the purchase of mines, floating batteries, gunboat and transports.

1. In the USA were the Rivadavia and Moreno built between 1919-1915. The third dreadnought was never built while Brazil never got a third dreadnought. In 1908 were 12 destroyers ordered.
