An item referred to a publication dated 21 October 1949 reporting that at the Tito Shipyard, Kraljeveica, Yugoslavia a complete new tug was built while using Yugoslavian materials and designs. She was immediately commissioned as the Trstenik. In fact she was not completely new while the skeleton and the repaired steam engine and boiler of the old tug Radnik were reused. She had an accommodation for 8 persons, as dimensions 21 x 6 metres. The trial speed with the horsepower of 250hp was 10 knots. She was the third Yugoslavian tug built that same year, earlier completed the 3 Maj Shipyard, Rijeka the tugs Udarnik and Borac.
