German 19th Century sail-row gunboat

Between 1848-1849 build North German shipyards 12 sail-row gunboats of the Schleswig-Holstein type. Displacement circa 40 tons and dimensions 23,6 x 4,8 x o,8 metres. Cold be rowed with 24-30 paddles. Armament consisted of 1-60p gun and 1-32/36pd gun to which 2-3pd guns could be added. Crew maximum 50 men. Could be used in nearby coastal waters. After the so-called Bundesflotte [Federal fleet] was dissolved, were most of the boats sold below their actual value.
