The Polish ore/coal carrier type B 30 according to a CIA report dated around 1955

In a report titled Shipbuilding in Poland 1945-1955 were several series of ships described built by Polish shipyards including the ore/coal carrier type B 30 built by the Stocznia Gdanka, Gdansk, Poland. Riveted. Fitted out with 8-5/3 tons steam cargo winches and 8 derricks. Crew accommodation for 44 men in the deckhouse positioned between holds 2 and 3 in the poop. One 1.100hp/125rpm reciprocating double compound valve steam engine and 2 coal fuelled boilers allowing a service speed of 11 knots. Cargo grain capacity 129.500 cubic feet/3.665 cubic metres, corresponding deadweight 2.600 tons, gross tonnage 2.083 tons, net tonnage 1.034 tons and as dimensions 82,60 (between perpendiculars)-87,00 (over all) x 12,20 (moulded) x 5,80 (depth to main deck)-7,10 (depth to quarter deck) x 5,38 (design draught) metres or 271’.0”-285’5” x 40’4” x 19’0”-23’4”x 17’8”.
