An item reported the secured Soviet Astrakhan Shipyard 3d International also known as the Shipyard Kapski Slip. Geographic coordinates 46.16.15 north and 47.56.10 east located 6 nautical miles south west of the centre of Astrakhan.on the west bank of the Volga and was used for building barges. The shipyard possessed 1 side-haul marine railway, 4 transverse slipways for new building and repairs, 3 cranes, 1 fitting out pier and 1 fabrication and 13 support buildings. An area with 3 piers and 10 buildings located a half nautical mile north was known as the 3d International North Yard and Shipyard Merchant Marine.
