An item dated Amsterdam, Netherlands 25th reported that the commandeurs Jan en Pieter Dirkze van de Velde, Bastiaan de Braassem, Pieter Pieterz en Jacob Karsen left the day before the river Maze bound for Greenland. It was not known if the whalers anchored off Texel also departed in the meantime.
