Brazil-flagged, MMSI 710439000 and call sign PWQO. Laid down by Ishikawajima Heavy Industries, Tokyo, Japan in December 1956, launched on 30 July 1957 and commissioned on 1 January 1957. Displacement 1.463-1.900 (full load) tons and as dimensions 77,90 x 12,03 x 3,70 metres. Machinery consists of 2 Sulzer T6-36 diesels, horsepower 2.700 bhp, fuel bunker capacity 343 ton and range of 12.000 nautical miles with a speed of 11 knots. Crew numbers maximum 102 men excluded 14 men scientific personnel. Carries 1 SAH heli, 1 LCVP and 3 small survey craft with her.
