A letter dated Nikolajew, Ukraine 28 December 1943 sent by the Seetransportstelle Nikolajew over there to German maritime authorities dealt with the Dnepr river vessels of the Dnjepr-Flusschiffahrt GmbH handed over to the Kriegsmarine. Since 1 January 1944 was the Schiffahrt GmbH responsible for the personnel affairs. The Seetransportstelle [between brackets navy] used the tug Lorbas with a Russian crew and 400hp horsepower.
