An item reported that the navy yard at Amsterdam, Netherlands by ministerial decision dated 6 February 1902 D no. 52 was ordered to built the fourth steam pilot vessel. Keel laid down on 9 May and on 14 September after the shaft was placed launched. Hull in the meantime nearly completed and main engine, boiler and funnel placed and started with the panelling. By ministerial decision dated 13 June 1904 G no. 56 called Hellevoetsluis.
