An item reported that the at Peterhead, Scotland fitted out steam whaler with a cargo capacity of 153 tons had in 1873 as catch results while active in Cumberland Bay [South Georgia] 629 seals, 6,5 (0,5 whale lost) whales, 58 hectolitres seal oil, 580 hectolitres whale oil, total 638 litres oil and 800 kilo whalebone.
