A report dated 9 February 1944 sent by the Mar. Verbindingsoffizier beim Hafenkommandanten Konstanza to the Kommando 10. Sicheringsdivisie at Constantza, Romania described the available tugs in the harbour over there. The Romanian navy possessed the tug Muresul part of the Havenschutzflotille. She was under repairs and used as submarine chaser while she was not suitable for harbour towage being too large and heavy to manoeuvre.
