An announcement reported the intended auction by notary M. Donker on Friday 9th 14.00 o’clock in hotel Nommer Een, Ijmuiden, Netherlands of the Dutch double screw steam herring fishing lugger Selene with inventory. Built at Great Yarmouth, England in 1899 of oak and coppered with Elliott&Carson steam winch. Gross tonnage 152,70, ton, net tonnage 82,43 tons and as dimensions 27,91 x 709 x 347 (depth below deck). Fitted out with one boiler of Ritey, Stockton and Crabte&Co., Great Yarmouth and compound steam engines with surface condensation, 200 ehp. Cargo capacity more as 30 last kantjes herring. Also suitable to be converted into coastal cargo ship.
