Dutch submarine Hr.Ms. Tijgerhaai (S807) 1966-2006

Ready for launching 25 May 1971

 Part of the Zwaardvis-class, consisting of the Zwaardvis and Tijgerhaai and the for Taiwan built Hai Lung and Hai Hu, preceded by the Dolfijn-class and succeeded by the Walrus-class. Building ordered on 24 December 1965, laid down by Rotterdamse Droogdok Mij Shipyard, Rotterdam, Netherlands with yard number 321 on 14 July 1966, launched on 25 May 1971, commissioned on 20 October 1972, decommissioned on 1995, despite that several countries (Egypt, Indonesia and Malaysia) were interested not sold and in 2006 broken up in Malaysia. Displacement 2.350 (surfaced)-2.620 (submerged) tons and as dimensions 66,92 x 8,4 x 7,1 metres or 219.7 x 27.7 x 23.4 feet. Machinery consisted of  3 diesels with 4.2000 shp and 1 electric motor of 5.100 shp resulting in a speed of 13 (surfaced)-20 (submerged) knots. Crew numbered 65-67 men. Armament consisted pf 6-53,3cm/21" torpedo tubes in the bow.
