Japanese court released seized Russian whalers according to the Australian newspaper The Brisbane Courier dated Thursday 9 February 1933

An item dated Tokyo, Japan 8 February reported that the court decided to release the Soviet whalers seized while entering a prohibited harbour in the Bonin islands. The fins were however increased. It was assumed that the whalers were released to prevent international complications.
