Catch results of German Greenland whalers according to the Dutch newspaper Leydse courant dated 4 July 1774

An item dated Amsterdam, Netherlands 2 July reported the arrival at Hamburg, Germany of Jan Bornhold 3 whales 80 quardelen and 110 quardelen seal blubber returning from Greenland. Arrived in May on78 degrees on a field after first losing 4 whales. A British whaler caught there 3,5 whale but was lost. A Dutch whaler caught 3 whales and commandeur A. Jurgens left on 6 June. The latter stated that the results of the seal hunting hardly improved.
