Catch results of German Greenland seal hunters according to the Dutch newspaper Amsterdamse courant dated 19 June 1756

An item dated Hamburg, Germany 15 June reported the arrival of the German commandeur Michiel Jansen with 300 quardelen seal blubber returning from Greenland. He arrived at the ice borders on 62 degrees on 8 April, leaving from 72 degrees with a North west wind on 26 May arriving at the Tregter within 7 days. There he saw commandeur Siebe Ages leaving the Maas for Greenland. Since then south winds. He brought with him a list of of catch results of other seal hunters: Hans Erichs 90 quardelen, Theunis Pieters 160, Carsten Andries Witt 100, Hans Pieters 30 quardelen, Johan Nicolas Steynmetz 90, Jurgen Andriesen 80, he lost a boat with 6 men, Anders Schwen [Swen?] 60, Jan Schroder 20 and Jacob Kroeser fully loaded and commandeur Hendrik Remkes Schof [Scholl?] after he caught 1.000 seals he went on whaling.
