Dutch cargo-passenger screw steam turbine ship Slamat 1924-1941

Netherlands-flagged, homeport Rotterdam, Netherlands and since 1940 Batavia, Dutch East Indies, until 1931 call sign PHSG, since then PHOB. Of the Koninklijke Rotterdamsche Lloyd and operated by W. Ruys&Zonen until 1940. Building ordered on 25 February 1921, laid down by Kon. Mij. De Schelde, Vlissingen, Netherlands with yard number 176 on 29 April 1922, launched on 27 October 1923, berthed trial o 31 March 1924, final trial and delivery on 12 April 1924, used as troop transport and sunk by a German Ju 87 dive-bomber on 26 April 1941 after picking up troops at Nauplia, Greece.
