Built by Mitsubishi Zosen Kaisha Ltd., Kobe, Japan for Nippon Yusen K.K., Tokyo, Japan in 1923 and sunk while used as an army cargo ship off the south coast of Leyte, Philippines by the American submarine ISS Redfin (SS-272). Also used by the army in the Second Sino-Japanese War.
