Japanese submarines sighted in Alaskan waters according to the U.S. Joint Intelligence Committee. Daily summary dated 28 May 1942

An item reported that in the past few days two Japanese submarines were seen in the Alaskan waters. One on 26 May near Cape Idak (the north west point of Umnak Island) and a second one next day near Bogoslof Island.
