Davis Strait commandeur Lourens Fester returned with damaged ship according to the Dutch newspaper Amsterdamse courant dated 22 July 1721

An item dated Amsterdam, Netherlands 21 July reported that at Bergen arrived Lourens Fester. He left Bergen earlier for Davis Strait but was forced to return from Statenhoek being with heavily damaged masts and rigged caused by a storm. (1)
