Dutch privateer attacked British whalers according to the Dutch newspaper Groninger courant dated 25 August 1797

An item dated London, England 16th reported that four British whalers of London on the Friday before were attacked by a Dutch privateer of 16 guns. When the British fired at the Dutch the latter was forced to retreat.
