Sloop or aviso type A69 Estienne d’Orves-class, The Portuguese João Countinho-class served as example. France-flagged, sponsor city Quimper. Laid down by DCN, Lorient, France on 21 March 1977, launched on 16 September 1978, commissioned on 13 February 1980 and decommissioned on 31 July 2020. Crew numbered 89 men including 7 officers. Dimensions 80,50 x 10,30 x 5,60 x 26 (air draft) metres and displacement 1.175-1.410 (full load) tons. Horsepower supplied by 2 SEMT Pielstick diesels 13.200 hp allowing a speed of 24 knots. Armament consists of1-10cm AA Mle 68 gun, 2-2cm AA F2 guns, 1 ASM 375 Mle 72 rocket launcher, 4-12,7mm/0.50” machine guns and 4-55cm L 5 mod 4 torpedo tubes.
