German whalers and seal hunters ready for departure according to the Dutch newspaper Rotterdamse courant dated 28 January 1790

An item reported that in the coming season from the Elbe and Weser were to depart for seal hunting and whaling 32 ship from Hamburg, 9 of Altona, 10 of Gluckstadt, 7 of Bremen, 1 of Vegesack and 2 of Flensburg and towards Davis Strait 2 ships of Bremen.
