American whaler Wavelet visited Monganui, New Zealand according to the New Zealand newspaper Daily Southern Cross dated 26 June 1857

An item reported the arrival at Monganui, New Zealand on 23 February of the American whaler Wavelet of New Bedford, USA master George Swain 200 barrels whale oil 200 barrels sperm oil 1.000 lbs bone cleared for whaling 2 March.(1)
