Type 23, preceded by Type 22 and succeeding Types 26, 31 and 32. Building ordered in July 1988, laid down by Yarrow Shipbuilders, England on 12 December 1988, launched on 2 March 1991, commissioned on 20 March 1993, refitted between 2012-2014 and LIFEX started in 2019. IMO 8949628, MMSI 234604000 and call sign GCOB. Displacement 4.900 tons and as dimensions 133 x 16,1 x 7,3 metres or 436.4 x 52.10 x 23.11 feet. CODLAG machinery allowing a speed of 28 knits and with 15 knots a range of 7,500 nautical miles. Crew numbered 185 men with accommodation for another 20 men. Except for 1 helicopter armed with 1-32 cell GWS.26 VLS cansisters foe Sea Ceptor missiles, 2 quad Harpoon anti ship launchers for 8 missiles, 2x2-32,4cm/12.75” String Ray torpedo tubes,1-11,3cm/4.5” BAE Mk8 naval gun, 2-3cm DS30M K2 guns or 2-3cm DS30B guns, 2 Miniguns and 4 general purpose guns.
