An item reported reported the arrival at Auckland of the French whaler General D’Hautpoul on Tuesday evening which left Le Havre, France 2 years ago. She departed almost immediately towards France after disembarking her crew at Akaroa and some surplus sea stores were left at Auckland to be described. She was described as one of the finest whalers ever visiting in the Waitema.
