French whaler Napoleon the Third in New Zealand according to the New Zealand newspaper Daily Southern Cross dated 7 April 1857

An item reported that on Saturday 24^th a crew member of the French whaler Napoleon the Third was arrested accused of being a burglar and locked up in prison. It was assumed that he was brought back to his ship to be sentenced in France.
