Built by Uraga Dock Co. Ltd., Uraga, Japan for Osaka Syosen KK, Osaka, Japan in 1939 requisitioned by the Imperial Japanese Navy serving as an auxiliary gunboat until she was lost in a storm on 14 December 1941 off Mausuwa-To, northern Kuriles. Gross tonnage 2.950 tons, under deck 2.270 tons, net tonnage 1.720 tons and as dimensions 29.7 x 45.0 x 23.8 feet.
