Tahitian whaling bark Eagle visited Honolulu, Hawaii according to the newspaper The Polynesian dated 15 August 1840

An item reported the arrival at Honolulu, Hawaii on 14 August of the Tahitian whaling bark Eagle 6 months out 250 barrels oil. The edition dated 5 September reported her departure on 1 September. She was now described as the Tahitian bark Eagle captain Rhodes of Hawaii.
