Catch results of Dutch and German Greenland whalers according to the Dutch newspaper Haerlemsche courant dated Tuesday 15 August 1713

An item dated Amsterdam, Netherlands 14 August reported the arrival of a Greenland whaler at Bergen (Norway?) leaving the ice on 15 passato [July] stating that the catch generally was worse. They had a list on board of 12 ships including Claes Sybrantse 1 whale, the St. Pieter 4 whales, the Elizabeth 0, the Paerl 0, Laurens de Haen 0, ‘t Paradijs 1, the Pellicaen 2 and the oude Evangelist 1. Except for the already known Dutch whalers were also 2 from Hamburg and 1 of Bremen, Germany wrecked. In the Vlie, Netherlands arrived some Greenland whalers. On Sunday arrived the Greenland whaler jonge Tobyas commandeur Pieter Willemse at Texel, Netherlands.
