American whaler Fame spoken according to the newspaper The Inquirer and Mirror dated Saturday 28 February 1835

An item dated Holmes Hole 10th mentioned that the whaler Plato reported on 25 December at St. Helena the whaler Fame master Gardner of Nantucket, 2 whales however obliged to give them to another ship and gone into the harbour expected to be condemned.(1)
