Dutch motor tanker Augustina 1927-1942

Netherlands-flagged, call sign NGCV. Of the N.V. Nederlandsch-Indische Tankstoomboot Maatschappij, The Hague. Launched by Swan, Hunter&Wigham Richardson Ltd., Wallsend on Tyne, England with yard number 1301 on 2 March 1927, delivered on 28 July 1927 and scuttled by her own crew underwy from Tandjong Priok, Dutch East Indies towards Fremantle, Australia in the Java Sea when the Japanese destroyer Harukaze approached on 1 March 1942, the ship herself sunk in 4 March 1942. Almost the entire crew was killed by the Japanese. Gross tonnage 3.110,12 tons, under deck 2.277 tons, net tonnage 1.626,45 tons, deadweight 3.877 tons and as dimensions 305.1 x 50,2 x 19.3 feet.
