French whaler Winslo visited Wiapu, New Zealand according to the New Zealand newspaper Daily Southern Cross dated 6 April 1863

An item reported the arrival at Waiapu, East Cape, New Zealand on 23 February by the French whaler Winslo of 660 tons captain Labaste of Le Havre, France 10 months out 900 barrels last from Akaroa bound for the South for one season.
