Bremen whaler Republic visited Honolulu, Hawaii according to the newspaper The Polynesian dated 19 May 1849

An item reported the arrival at Honolulu, Hawaii on 12 May by the Bremen whaling ship Republic master Austin of Bremen, Germany. The edition dated 26 May reported her clearing for cruising.
