German fishers exploring South Atlantic Ocean area according to the Dutch newspaper Nieuwe Vlaardingsche courant dated 7 February 1903

An item reported that the German Stoomvisscherij-Maatschappij Nordsee possessed 24 steamships. The experiment by the Magdeburg to fish in southern parts of the Atlantic Ocean was successful. The mostly unknown fish were without problems sold on the German fish markets. The shareholders could get a dividend of 10%.
