An item reported the arrival at Port Russell, New Zealand on 18 February of the American whaler Adeline Gibbs of 351 tons master Davis returning from whaling 450 barrels sperm 75 barrels whale oil. She left for whaling again on 13 March with part of her original cargo and the 450 barrels.
