An item dated Warren 20th reported the whaler Magnet master Brown which spoke on 22 October 1834 at Talcahuano, Chile the American whaler Octavia master Manter of New Bedford 1.600 barrels oil, had been in the Bay of Panama, much worn eaten under repair, would depart within 10 days bound down the coast.
