An item reported the
arrival at Koloa, Kauai on 20 May by the American whaling ship Richmond master
Winters of Coldspring 9 months out 550 barrels whale oil 150 barrels sperm oil,
coming from Hobart Town, Tasmania. On board was a runaway probably a convict
discovered. The intention was to discharge him at Oahu after she returned from
the north west.
